Liability for content¶
canVODpy is an open-source community project. Its software and documentation have been prepared with care, but are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. No warranty or guarantee is given as to the correctness, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided.
Neither the original author, TU Wien, nor any individual contributor shall be held liable for damages arising from the use or non-use of the software or information offered, or from the use of incorrect or incomplete information.

Liability for links¶
This documentation contains links to external third-party websites over whose content the author has no influence. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal content was not apparent at the time of linking. Permanent monitoring of linked pages is unreasonable without concrete evidence of a legal violation. Upon notification of violations, such links will be removed immediately.
Use of Artificial Intelligence¶
Portions of this software and its documentation were developed with the assistance of AI-based tools, specifically Claude Code by Anthropic. AI was used as a development aid for:
- Code generation and refactoring
- Documentation drafting and review
- Test case generation
- Diagram and schema design
AI-generated output is reviewed before inclusion. However, no individual contributor — including the original author — assumes personal liability for the correctness of any AI-assisted or community-contributed content. AI tools do not hold authorship or intellectual property rights over any part of this work.
No AI warranty
AI-assisted content is provided under the same terms as the rest of this project. No additional warranty of correctness, completeness, or fitness for purpose is implied by the use of AI tools. Users are advised to independently verify any scientific claims, numerical values, or implementation details before relying on them in production or research.
